28 February 2003Cast your dreams to the windFormer videogame power Sega, having abandoned its Dreamcast console, was getting ready to sell itself to pinball manufacturer Sammy. But now Sega may have a couple of other suitors waiting in the wings: Electronic Arts, current videogame power, and Microsoft, current videogame wannabe. There is reason to think Sega might prefer EA over Microsoft. Presumably, were Microsoft to take over, Sega would become a provider of Xbox games only; EA provides games for multiple platforms, and an EA-controlled Sega would likely follow suit. |
