Received wisdom (one in a series)

Peppermint Patty was explaining how it is she came to embrace Catholicism — it's a good story, and probably should be read alongside Craig's account at MTPolitics — when she popped this bit of wisdom into the light:

There is no proof to faith, but I know absolutely that life isn't just a series of coincidences.

Eighteen words. In a lifetime, I've spent probably eighteen thousand saying the same thing less precisely.

Not to worry, I've used those 18,000 already, too, then that one just popped off my keyboard in an edit, and I kinda went huh. I'm not known for being succinct, but even a blind hog finds an acorn every now and then.

I agree, Chaz. Eloquent simplicity - it's a talent far from me.

Patty said in a very few words what I think I was trying to say at the end of this but didn't do a very good job of I'm afraid.
