21 June 2003A Muggle at heartNo, I didn't go stand in line at Barnyard and Ignoble to enjoy the dubious privilege of buying Yet Another Harry Potter Book on its first day of release. In fact, I can think of a number of books by bloggers that would be of far greater interest to me. A sampling:

I'll pick up the book someday, just not now. I never buy bestsellers when the hype is frantic. Besides, I'm busy writing my own book. It's a cookbook. Working title: The Joy of Cooking Troll. And there's nothing particularly wrong with the Potter books, except that they don't float to the top of my want list. I did buy one book yesterday: a biography of Condoleezza Rice. Go figure. |
