13 October 2003Swinging down the laneI've driven on Massachusetts rotaries and New Jersey jughandles, and when I have, I've wondered, "Criminy, could they possibly make things any worse?" Double lane divided highway turns into three lanes so you can make a left turn, then it's pray for your life as you move fast to the outside right lane to make your right. The locals never bat an eyelash, but have no patience for those who are not.
