4 November 2003Lock your knob on BobSurely Citadel could have come up with a better slogan for their newest attempt to do something with the 96.9 frequency. (Their previous effort, The Bull, is chipped beef on toast.) "Bob" plays Classic Hits, whatever that may be. I shall, um, grant them a button for a while and see if I can work up a definition; so far, it sounds nothing like the Canadian stations advertised as Bob. (What I really want in the way of Classic Hits is something like Chicago's The Drive.) LOL . . just tuned it in for the first time. Why not go after our heritage classic rocker? They are high rated and consistently so. And after all . . Citadel did knock KJ off the top so . . one never knows. They started out in the right direction, but eventually succumbed to the siren song of Faith Hill, et. al. Posted by: Chris at 3:44 PM on 4 November 2003Well, she is a siren. :) If Citadel just kicked the bull off the air I think people in OKC should say something because they were the first station to try and give Oklahoma Red dirt bands a chance like Cross Canadian Ragweed who by the way kicks A** and also Jason boland and the Stragglers. The bull was also a pretty good station and they weren't jerks like other country stations around here.
