Time to get in line

Norah Jones is coming to town, and tickets just went on sale (top $58.50 plus whatever they can stick you with).

She'll be at the Ford Center in Oklahoma City on 20 October.

(Five months in advance? Is this typical for major events? We've only had this humongous concert venue for a year or so.)

So far as I can tell, most of Norah's entire tour (which runs three months) went on sale the same week, perhaps to simplify the bookkeeping at one end, and the Oklahoma City date is relatively late in the tour, but this still means that the earliest shows have a two-month-plus lead time.

And her date in Atlanta — 14 August at Chastain Park — is already sold out.
