Too much vegetation for Mars, and besides there's that big slab of something in the foreground; it must be US 385 in eastern Colorado. The black, snaky substance on the road is the ever-popular temporary patch known to some of us as "I Can't Believe It's Not Tar." I think. I wasn't going to get close enough to it to find out, especially with trucks whizzing by every, oh, twenty minutes or so. Posted at 6:28 AM to World Tour '04I'm glad you explained those black marks. I first thought they were tire rubber left by you enthusiastically postioning the car for that photo. And frankly, if I were going to burn rubber, it would more likely be parallel to the center line. :) |
