Is fugly anything like yoogly? I seem to recall some comic ages ago talking about how "yoogly" was to "ugly" what "unique" is to "not altogether common."
And somewhere beyond "urgly," I suppose. The hierarchy I learned, by increasing levels of hideosity: ugly, urgly, fugly.
"Furgly," were it in existence, would be really, really scary. I've heard "yoogly" exactly once: in a Tim Wilson song about the changing standards of appearance in country music.
"I liked country better back when it was yoogly / Back when Lyle Lovett was considered a handsome man."
Damn, now fugly is pretty? I remember when "plain" got promoted to "attractive". This only applies to the females, though, you can still be a fugly or plain guy (I think). :) I wonder when chunky will be the new thin.
