I could've sworn that lyric referred to a particular portion of a particular portion of her legs.

"Standoff sighs" sounds more genteel, but if that was the lyric Miss Carnes' diction needed serious work.

I checked Jackie DeShannon's original (her tune, Donna Weiss' lyric), and "standoff sighs" it is.

Although Garbo, by general agreement, had darn nice (if seldom exposed) legs.

Just to play it safe, I've updated the referring link to the lyrics, making sure they include that sighing stuff.

Legends? I wouldn't be the rent on it.
