The Finch Formerly Known As Gold

Back into the fray

I went back to work this morning.

In retrospect, I probably shouldn't have put in the usual ten hours — I was pretty well flattened by the end of the day, and not in a good way either — but at least life is returning to some semblance of normalcy, and better yet, I didn't have to start out three or four days behind.

The office hotties seemed to be slightly hotter than usual, though, a fact which gives me pause. (Among other things.)

Absence makes the heart grow fonder?

welcome back to your regular routine. i bet the hotties are glad to see you again as well. erudite is a pleasant change from, "hey baby, what's your sign."

I suspect they're less glad to see me than to see the possibility of same-day service on some of their system requests.

(Which, of course, is quite unfair, since stuff was being shoveled out of my shop in my absence, but, as someone once said of 007, "Nobody does it better.")
