11 November 2004Wow, I coulda had a LOAD "*",8Sandy, my modest little sedan, rolled up her 38,911th mile today. And 38911 may not mean much to you, but it does to me. Posted at 7:08 PM to General DisinterestAnd didja know that $389.11 is precisely enough to purchase the radiator for a 64 RAM? (I'm estimating the shipping.) Posted by: Sean Gleeson at 7:47 PM on 11 November 2004Charles, you are old school! Of course, I'm old school enough to have had a C64, but I didn't. :-( Posted by: Dan at 9:11 PM on 11 November 2004my over-the-road truck rolled 825,000 miles 'fore i got rid of it... Posted by: greeblie at 11:44 AM on 12 November 2004Bill Gates used to say that 640k ought to be enough for anyone. I remember my first experience with computers, in middle school; 2 4K TRS-80's and a 16K TRS, with the outrageous Apple 2c with 32K. My first computer (of my own) was an Amiga 500 with 2 floppy drives and an extravagent 1MB RAM (no HD, of course). Posted by: timekeeper at 1:57 PM on 12 November 2004That was a good post, thank you!
