4 December 2004Reasonable accommodationBank Leumi, the leading bank in Israel, is working with Visa and MasterCard to produce a credit card that will not function on the Sabbath, for use six days a week by Jews who strictly observe the day of rest. There is no indication whether Bank Leumi's US branch, which already offers a Visa card, will make the new card available to its Orthodox customers. (Via Fark) Posted at 9:25 AM to Common CentsThis doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I know a bunch of people that define rest as using the credit card.
