Reading the comments to your own experience, I realized something: I didn't take my wedding ring off, either. I wonder what would have happened?

They say it can throw off the magnets, although 14k gold or better, I'm told, is sufficiently nonferrous to have no effect on the scan.

Usually the people doing them are good about making sure that anything which needs to come off does so in advance :)
