14 December 2004Blade ruinerOne of the preparations for tomorrow's knee surgery is to defuzz the surrounding area, and so, razor in hand and center of gravity askew, I went to work. Fifteen minutes and not so much blood later, I figure I'm done, and I figure I don't want to do this ever again unless I'm entered in some sort of contest. (Which, now that I think about it, was the reason I did it the last time.) Women, I presume, have this down to a science, maybe even an art form. (And this will be the last entry until I'm off the table and feigning being functional again.) Posted at 8:14 PM to General DisinterestTrackBacks if any: Take care! Good Luck! My thoughts are with you! Posted by: Donna at 8:29 PM on 14 December 2004My son-in-law had the same operation on both knees and he plays table tennis as good as ever, though I still beat him at it. So at least you should be able to play table tennis as good as ever afterwards. Best wishes. Posted by: MikeH at 8:34 PM on 14 December 2004Can I bring over a meal? Something nice and unhealthy? Posted by: Dan at 11:28 PM on 14 December 2004best thing to do is trim it first with electric clippers, put a hot washcloth on it for a few minutes to soften the skin and saturate the hair with water (trust me on this) and a little bit of clove oil rubbed on the area first for extra lubrication BEFORE putting on a good shaving gel, such as neutrogena for men or nivea for men. works for me...i do this to my face every day (sans electric clippers) and it comes out baby-butt smooth every time. the shaving oil really, really helps. anyway, i'll stop rambling now. All good karma to you :) Posted by: ms7168 at 11:47 AM on 15 December 2004 |
