Besides, it's shorter than "Stribulation"
Dawn Eden is victimized by an alleged journalist to whom "fact-checking" is an available-time option, not a requirement, and McGehee, perhaps with Nick Coleman in mind, dubs the practice "Stribbing."
I dunno if this term will become as widespread as fisking, but I figure the least I can do is help it along.

Would it be better lowercased?

In days gone by, people could get away with this baloney because, in part, of Twain's dictum about getting into arguments with "people who buy ink by the barrel".
Today blogs give people the means to fight back.

Well, I used it lowercase, there at the end of my post -- but I also lowercase "fisking."
