Demotivational research

I don't know how many people have asked me why I do this.

It never occurred to me, though, to ask why they don't.

So: If you don't blog, why not? It's not like you don't know what it is or anything, else you wouldn't be here watching me.

Hmmm. I could have some fun with this meme by not getting reader input first.

After all, I often find myself being watched by cats while doing things that cats couldn't possibly understand.

Then again, they also have the good grace not to try to tell me how I should be doing it...

I read blogs long before I wrote one. I didn't write because I wasn't sure I had much to say. Now I don't let that stop me.

If a tree in the middle of the forest, with lots of people gathered 'round and watching it intently, stubbornly persists in not falling, might it really have fallen after all? I mean, the audience might just be hallucinating its irrational ongoing verticality, mightn't they?

According to a CBS memo reproduced in Newsweek, the tree actually fell down two weeks ago and an unnamed branch of government is complicit in the coverup.
