7 December 2005Mysterious visitationsThis qualifies as a reasonable question:
I haven't blogged for ::gulp:: four days??
How is it that I don't blog and my stats are up through the roof? Zen master Mister Snitch! sees it this way:
The secret of blogging is not to blog at all.
For those of us already entangled in the web, perhaps the most rational approach is to keep one finger on the Delete button. Posted at 10:12 AM to BlogorrheaI've been working very hard at not blogging these last few months. And enjoying it immensely. Sometimes I even write a post about not blogging: "still not blogging, still happy about it!" Just making sure the software still works, I guess. ;) It's amazing how much of your life you get back when you quit viewing the world through a porthole. Although I do miss the self-expression part just a bit; but I have a different job now that requires lots of communication throughout the day, so that gap is partially filled that way. The rest of it, you can have. But I'm glad others do it, as I still like to read some blogs, like this one. My $.02 anyway. There's no rhyme or reason to the hits and traffic. Certainly, neither quality nor quantity of posts has much to do with it. You know, if the secret of blogging is not to blog, then the secret of traffic must be visitors from nowhere.
