8 December 2005MoDo made over
The old one, with its dark background and pursed lips, said, "I'm mysterious and witty." And the new one, with a white background and tousled hair? Just one thing: "Marry me!"
I don't know. The new photo might be good for Casual Friday, but I'm not convinced she's comfy when she's casual. Posted at 7:19 AM to Warn Mode DueNo, what both pictures scream is: "Buy me stuff!" Once I discovered traditional Asian women, I ceased to find any attraction in white American women. What use are they? A traditional Asian woman wants to be a woman, and she wants a man to be a man. Humility and the willingness to serve another person are virtually unknown qualities in white women, particularly the spoiled brat variety living in Manhattan. Best to look elsewhere. I no longer understand why any man bothers with such women. For further illumination, read Fred on Everything. Posted by: Shouting Thomas at 7:58 AM on 8 December 2005She's pretty scary looking either way, don't you think? The first one is the prim, pearls earrings and necklace, good girl look. The second is the more modern one, warmer skin tone, more direct look, but the lips are just as pursed and she still looks scary. "I'll bite if you come too close" seems to be the message. Posted by: anne at 8:07 AM on 8 December 2005The first one look much more attractive and successful (in whatever her goal is), in my opinion, - may be because she's obviously 10 yrs younger on that one? Anne, "warm" (I'd say - yellowish) skin tone on the second shot makes her look sickly, may be because of the white background. It's been said that W. refers to MoDo as a "cobra," so "I'll bite if you come too close" might be exactly the look she, or the Times, is looking for. The now old one always said to me, "Jack? Jack is dead, my friend. You can call me... JOKER." Not that she looked like Jack Nicholson, but rather like the news anchors and models who meet such a dreadful end at his hands in that movie. Posted by: Matt at 11:31 AM on 8 December 2005a little wrinklier in the new one, but the color is hot -- compared to the dinner-time pearls. New one looks like she just arm-wrestled and won. Posted by: JizM at 1:31 PM on 8 December 2005that's "collar", not "color"! -- collar, as in open Posted by: JizM at 1:33 PM on 8 December 2005Aw geez, Charles, get a constructive hobby like heroin or something. Where are the pics of these OTHER gorgeous "older" women you keep telling us about? It's the only reason I keep coming back here, and I'm losing patience. Don't make me look through your hard drive. Posted by: Mr. Snitch! at 7:28 PM on 8 December 2005Spoilsport. Okay, here's a shot of Rene Russo, then in her late forties. Keep in mind that this won't get me anything in Technorati. The first one says, "If I wear the pearls the eye might not be drawn to the bad facelift." Posted by: Vickie at 7:39 AM on 9 December 2005Rene Russo, pfe! Wait till I post my own photos. If I ever. Posted by: Tatyana at 10:11 AM on 9 December 2005Post photos? I can't even find your blog... Posted by: Mr. Snitch! at 12:47 AM on 10 December 2005 |
