Express your inner VAIO

Sony is using this picture (shrunk to fit — click here to rebigulate) in its current advertising — I've seen it so far in Entertainment Weekly, in InStyle, and on their Web site — to sell VAIO-series notebook PCs. Far be it from me to complain about strappy sandals, but somehow this seems inappropriate, especially since these are Windows machines and will therefore require, um, occasional rebooting.

Yes, strappy sandals hardly seem the right footwear to boot a PC into submission.

Wolverines or Doc Martens on the other hand...

Actually, it took me three tries to come up with an even marginally-acceptable title, by which I mean something footwear-related that wouldn't kill the "reboot" punch line.

The VAIO is the most beautiful of the Windows laptops, if that's the right word.

I picked up a 4lb viao a couple years back and have found it to be a pretty good machine. There was a month where it wouldn't boot, but that was the month after I dumped about a quart of water on the keyboard with power on. After it dried out, it has worked fine. Tech support was worthless though. Do the sandals come with tech support?
