Within shrieking distance

Last paragraph of this Vent, 1 January 2006:

Playboy will take submissions for a "Women of the Blogosphere" pictorial, which will appear in early 2007. No one you ever heard of will be in it.

Announcement today [probably not safe for work]:

Playboy.com seeks the sexiest women of the MySpace community to pose for a nude Playboy pictorial.

Well, at least it isn't Tripod.

Good grief...at the risk of sounding oh-so-blog-snobbish, I wish that Playboy would limit applicants to those who actually own their own sites.

You kidding? They're working on their templates.

Can the people who use my space actually BLOG? I find that hard to believe.

Oh wait. I have a myspace.
But I only did it on a triple-dog-dare. :)

Dr. Jan <---- old lady who will not be appearing in Playboy's pictorial. If only...

Dr. Jan ... I understand and respect your decision about posing for Playboy. Of course YOU are still hot so you do have plenty of options for other exposure.

On the other hand there are plenty more of those folks out there who could only pose for Cranky Old Hags of the Blogosphere in the new Soldier of Fortune magazine spread of the same name ...

Thank you, Ron, but obviously you haven't seen my worn out broken down self as viewed through pics! I am okay with it; I would rather be old than dead at a younger age.
