2 March 2006No surprise hereThe SBC Bricktown Ballpark, following SBC's acquisition of AT&T and the assumption of its name, will be renamed the "AT&T Bricktown Ballpark" today. Everybody, of course, will still call it The Brick. Posted at 7:24 AM to City SceneYou should work for them. It has been very interesting indeed! They were busy making new pictures for our new at&t id cards. What is wrong with the ones we currently have on file? No good answer to that. Our email addresses very suddenly and with no notice at all changed from @sbc.com to @att.com Slowly but surely it is all changing over. The scariest part is the willy-nilly adoption of those practices which were well known and well hated at the former AT&T now finding their way into place. Posted by: Dwayne "the canoe guy" at 3:52 PM on 2 March 2006Before the middle 1980s, there was only AT&T; the Baby Bells, including Southwestern Bell, which eventually became SBC, were split off from it by an antitrust decree. So this is a case of the child, um, eating its mother, so to speak. |
