No way for a story to end
A moment of silence, if you please, for Rob "Acidman" Smith (1952-2006).

I left condolences at his sight.
He will be missed. He was certainly one-of-a-kind.
Chris Muir remembered him in Day by Day as "Hemingway without the charm," which is as good a four-word description of the man as you're likely to find anywhere.
Wow, when Chris Muir puts you in a strip you are truly immortal. Acidman was.
Then again, as Woody Allen said, "I want to achieve immortality through not dying."
Yes, but sadly, Rob seemed ready to go. He rode hard and put himself away wet, and took us along for the ride.
