The fox we’ve been waiting for
To be honest, I wasn’t prepared for the idea of Dakota Fanning (!) as Runaways lead singer Cherie Currie. But it appears that Little Miss D is up to the task, and then some.
Anent which, Little Miss A notes:
She emulates Currie’s voice perfectly, and only puts her own stamp on it by adding a syllable here and there, and enunciating the words slightly differently. Word is that Fanning was terrified of participating in the project, and it took a bit of coaching to get her to want to sing. One of her coaches? Cherie Currie.
And after all, the biopic is based on Currie’s book.
