The Master would not approve
Then again, it’s probably not up to him:
Sitting in the number eight position on IMDB’s Bottom 100, with more user votes than any other film in the final ten, sits the Texas-born oddity Manos: The Hands of Fate, a “thriller” about a vacationing family who run afoul of Manos-worshipping pagans. If you’ve been wondering if we’d ever get to return to the delightful universe of Manos and its infamous knock-kneed manservant Torgo, well, you’re in luck! Manos: The Search for Valley Lodge is expected to shoot in 2011, according to Dread Central.
I guess I’d better start saving up for the inevitable RiffTrax.

“Manos, the Hand of Fate” was, in fact, an MST3K movie. Rifftrax before there was Rifftrax.

Manos, the Hands of Fate is, in fact, on my DVD shelf, in its MSTied edition. Hence the forward-looking announcement.

I’m looking forward to the sequel’s climax battle scene taking place aboard the Satellite of Love. Only fitting.

I have the MST3K version of Manos at home as well (as part of the Essentials DVD set).
If this does happen, I hope for a full blown MST3K reunion. I know that the original cast is doing the Cinematic Titanic thing and Mike, Kevin, and company are doing RiffTrax but I’d love to see an all-out MST3K reunion and a Manos sequel is just the thing that might make it happen.

By the way, great title for this post! I wish that I had thought of it.
