A pirate looks at eleven

This is the oldest of the grandchildren: Becky’s son Nick, who turns 11 in about two and a half weeks, and who hasn’t had a picture on here in some time. (I blame his mom, at least in her presence.)

Nick Havlik 2010

Exactly what he’s been pirating, I am not at liberty to say.

A handsome young man. I daresay this helps him very much in his pirate career. Heh.

A flash of dash is useful, should one decide to buckle one’s swash.

I’ve no doubt he is an engaging and earnest pirate.

Doesn’t quite look like their logo, but you never know.

I had to laugh because I have a niece who had me make her a halloween period costume one year that would go with her new sword. (fencing, that is) You don’t have to worry about a budding pirate until his Christmas wish list includes a peg leg, cutlass and hook. (still, someone managed to get him to sit still long enough to take a picture which is more than I can say for my ability in that sphere.)

If that shirt is available in “fat ass”, I’ll take five — one for each day of the week.
