I saw the xkcd cartoon and figured there was probably something I wasn’t getting. Then I thought about the time I checked the Wikipedia page for a similar internet phenomenon I didn’t “get,” and decided I was sorry that I had checked.
So I’m going to assume ignorance is bliss in this case.

I used to have a category called “Pegging the Irony Meter.” I began to notice a lot of search-engine queries were being sent to that page.
I removed the word “pegging” from the name of that category.
