According to Great Buildings Ahead: A Guided Tour of Central Oklahoma's Architectural Landmarks. For Walking and Motoring edited by Harold Hite "diversity, as manifested in our architecture, is one of the great strengths of our land." Which, personally, I find all too true especially by the Slick-Urschel-Kerr House, the DeBolt Hudson House and my personal favorite, Kaiser's Ice Cream Parlor. Please note that I am typing this while listening to my favorite waltz, The Second Waltz, while planning a trip (either walking or motoring) to either Portland Maine or Key West. I'm sure the one I pick will have the hurricane, one that will be the biggest they have ever had at this time of year.

No doubt. I have enough trouble keeping up with a thousand square feet on a quarter-acre, let alone a house five times as big on a lot ten times as big.

Still, considering what 700 thou will buy you in Pelosiville — it won't, for instance, buy you this, at least not yet — the case for living out here among the Cross Timbers is strong indeed.

14900 Wilson Road

For a "great estate" (and it is quite beautiful) 700 thou seems like a deal, to me. Not that I would know what to do with that much house, I admit. And you're pretty much obliged to hire household help - the upkeep is backbreaking.
