Meh-ness to society

Even mighty Prada, alas, can go wrong:

Prada Bicolor Rubber Oxford

Shoewawa’s Abi Silvester explains this better than I could:

Almost a blend of two shoes, it looks as though one perfectly attractive menswear-inspired shoe has been dropped in a large vat of molten candle wax — and pulled out just too late!

If that sort of thing floats your boat, it’s $950 at Nordstrom.

“What shoes would Ronald McDonald wear to a wedding?”

    “That is correct.”

“I’ll take Clown Formalwear for $4,000, Alex.”

I think they forgot the “inspired” in “menswear-inspired” on that one. It looks way too much like a “guy shoe” to me.

The dipped-in-wax look doesn’t help it any.

I’m usually a fan of Prada, but alas, these are hideous. I’ll take a Prada briefcase instead, thanks. It would give me more gravitas and less… well… less of whatever THOSE are.

Those are like training wheels for people who’ve never worn Prada before. Everyone who sees them will say, “Oh, student fashionista – steer clear!”

I was thinking platform overshoes, now *there’s* a solution in search of a problem.

Best to be drinking Makers Mark when wearing these.
