Standing watch

Of late, mostly due to hot and dry summers, there have been two distinct cycles of rose growth: early in the spring, then late in the fall. I have four blossoms remaining on this particular bush.

2012 stubborn rose

This flower will not abandon his post until the weather gets much, much worse. After all, it’s only the last week of November.

Nice! I have two dark pink ones still hanging on. I was surprised to have autumn roses this year. I only got them in spring last year.

Off toward eleven o’clock you can see the base of another one, still hanging in there.

Mine are still quite lovely. They will hang on well into the winter

Very pretty. Looks like one of three Old Florida Rose bushes I had at my back door (in Florida). Once established they bloomed all year.
