Don’t even ask about Moscow

I’ve long suspected that Nancy Grace was out of her depth, and this tells me that there wasn’t that much depth to begin with:

Geography. Look into it.

There’s an MSNBC map of President Obama’s itinerary in upstate NY, and it has Binghamton, Buffalo and Syracuse clustered together near the Vermont border. y

I just saw that a couple of minutes ago. Zero for three is Not Good. I mean, only once have I ever been north of Route 17 in New York, and even I knew that was wrong.

Well, if you tilt Oklahoma on its side and squint, it kinda sorta maybe looks like Idaho…

Hey, we’re in flyover country. You really don’t expect the hoipolloi to actually, like, recognize geography, do ya? Well that’s just downright mapist. They are, after all, products of our DoEd funded educational system. They got all the stick it to whitey stuff *DOWN* and that’s what’s important, nicht wahr?

JS – I would have writtten mappist rather than mapist, but then again, I’m pedantic.

Probably the 12-year-olds in Graphics were so busy snerking over the idea of a town named “Morehead” that they couldn’t be bothered to find the right state on a map.

(Of course, if they really WERE 12, that would explain their inability to find the correct state, funny town names aside)

As to Ms. Grace’s alleged “depth” – she appears to make the average sunny-day sidewalk puddle cavernous by comparison.

As I have occasionally said of myself, were she any shallower, she’d be bas-relief.
