Sometimes life is one damn thing after another; other times it’s several damn things at once.

    damn. I wish I didn’t understand I wish I couldn’t commiserate. Growing old is not for sissies, and dealing with old trees and aging houses and cars ain’t for sissies either.

    In my experience, it’s NEVER just one thing. Life is either comparatively smooth sailing or it’s a cluster.

    I have many times wailed, “Why couldn’t [whatever] break when I wasn’t already stretched to the limit?”
