Best used-car ad ever

If I didn’t already have a newer model, I’d be sorely tempted:

Oh, there were print ads too. And he did make a sale — to the automaker itself. Nissan, greatly amused, ponied up the $1400 asking price, and donated another thousand to a charity of the owner’s choice.

    Every now and again, you get to see something done in a new way. Most seem to be all about pushing the envelope or something. This, however, is clever.

    Well, I already knew the ’96es were selling, but I guess I hit the market at just the right time.

    I too got an extra $1,000 on my deal, but that was applied to the purchase on the replacement — but under the circumstances it was indeed an act of charity by the dealer…
