For reference, the average January high in Oklahoma City is 50. In 2012, an unusually bad year, we had 99 homicides, which is about 15.5 per 100k population.

    Yeah, must be the climate…

    Oh, wait – does this mean the Relative Homicide Rate can be directly affected by Glowball Wormering/Koolering/Hooman-Bean-Alterationing?

    I could point out that January is only about one-twelfth of the year — but then I’d have to explain the torturous sweatbox that is Houston in July.
