Designed to disturb

Amazingly, there have been items at the Consumer Electronics Show that were less plausible than a hair dryer that moisturizes or a Crock-Pot with Wi-Fi. This one definitely disturbs me:

Internet-enabled toothbrush

I figure I’m electrified enough with a Sonicare, which needs to be charged maybe three or four times a year and which doesn’t require an app.

Yeah, great, something else to nag at a person: “You missed the upper left quadrant!”

I expect we are not too far off from seeing a case like Ray Bradbury’s “The Murderer.”

Oh, and the Sonicare went dead this morning while working on the lower left quadrant. It is now back on the charger for as many hours as it takes.
