Sympathy card

As I discovered on a routine trip to the drug store, it’s a card I simply don’t play very well.

Useless thought: most of the people I’ve known who couldn’t walk to the pharmacy counter unassisted have sent someone in for them. Often that someone was me.

Then again, my late (but at the time merely ailing) mother-in-law did take her rollator into the drug store at least once that I remember. Whereas my late (but etc.) mother had no qualms about going into stores in her wheelchair, though at that point she was only wearing one shoe, IYKWIMAITYD.

Unfortunately, two of my regular dosings are on Schedule IV, which means they want my ID before they will hand over any pills.

So I guess delivery is right out, then. My pharmacy will deliver but thus far I’ve always gone and picked the stuff up, figuring I leave the delivery for people who are too sick to leave the house. Though if I have another week like week before last was and I need meds, I might just take them up on that. Not because “sick,” but because “so upset and distracted I get into an accident on the way to the pharmacy”
