Drop dead already

One year after “ambulatory” was stricken from my vocabulary, I mourn for a moment; and then I contemplate the fate of someone far worse off than I am.

    Apparently The Netherlands is contemplating “allowing” otherwise-healthy people over 75 to have doctor-assisted suicide.

    That’s my fear, straight up: that it goes from “This is possible” to “we expect this of you” in the blink of an eye.

    A former Dem governor of Colorado, Dick Lamm, elucidated a ‘duty to die’ back in the late 70’s iirc. Seems he hasn’t offed himself to date.

    FJ:exactly.
    I’s the hypocrisy I can’t stand! (or this, f.ex. Or story of Bernie Sanders’ wife channeling >$500K to her daughter’s business while bankrupting the college she presided over. Etc, etc)
