The mark of sloganeering excellence
Daily Blog Tips has a list of forty-odd taglines you’ll find at some of the bigger blogs, and some of them are quite good indeed. But you probably already know them, so here’s a list of some of the ones I like you might have missed:
- Baldilocks: “Blowing Fuses and Going Off On Bizarre Tears For Your Reading Pleasure”
- bee-spot: “I AM UNIMPRESSED BY YOUR UTNE SUBSCRIPTION”
- belhoste: “Composed of contradictions and subject to change without notice”
- Blog O’Ram: “Like News but Tasty”
- Cold Fury: “Harshing your mellow since 9/01″
- GreenCanary: “uncaged. unhinged. ununsual [sic].”
- The Happy Homemaker: “A bubble short of plumb.”
- I Think Therefore I Blog: “Sparing Lives By Blogging”
- My So-Called Blog: “Excelling At Mediocrity, One Post At A Time”
- Nine Pearls: “BLOGGING FOR FUN AND CASH PRIZES”
- Princess Sparkle Pony’s Photo Blog: “I keep track of Condoleezza’s hairdo so you don’t have to.”
- Psssst! Over Here: “I attempt to write … you attempt to read … who will win?”
- Violins and Starships: “a little bit 18th century, a little bit 24th century…”
Unlike most of these, my own slogan does not appear on the front page, but does appear in the archives.

My trouble is that I could never settle on a tagline long enough for it to catch on.
Well, that and there’s never been enough of a reader base for it to catch on with.

Thanks for the ego stroke, Chaz. That one came to me the day I found myself electing not to have an argument with my husband and to go blog about how much he’d pissed me off instead.
