Easily suede

Gidsa, says Nine West, is a “runway-inspired shoe bootie [which] will make you feel like a true fashionista with an elasticized front strap on a 4″ heel.” The runway, I presume, is at Fairbanks International Airport.
The Gidsa Pump brings the search for a perfect gray shoe to a screeching halt. These heels have a delicious suede finish and look like the love-child of a pump and ankle-bootie. The elastic strap ensures absolute comfort while bringing an interesting element to the shoe’s design. Sure to go with everything, it’s at the top of our must-haves list.
You can also get it in black; the price is presently marked down 25 percent, from $89 to $66.75. I didn’t like it at first, but it’s starting to grow on me, though it still seems a trifle top-heavy.

It looks like a wing chair for your feet. (Except not as comfortable).
I still maintain a 4″ heel would be a surefire ticket to Broken Ankle Boulevard for me, no matter how much the idea of being a mighty 5′ 10″ would appeal…

I have my doubts about how well these would go with your most recent batch of socks.

I may have gone to high school in the 80s, but my fashion sense wasn’t left behind there. (In other words: no socks with stilettos.)
I reserve the socks for “casual” shoes and Birks. (I’m looking for a nice pair of Mary Jane type shoes that don’t look TOO juvenile. Haven’t found any yet.)

They’re ugly.
