   If you wanted to be really obnoxious about the number of categories, you could dewey-decimalize all the posts. Heck, I’d do it, if I weren’t so unorganized with my own blog.

   Dear WordPress: How about a Dewey Decimal plugin? Reads the content, adds a three-digit-point-whatever tag. Oh, and it needs a means of sorting posts numerically.

   (I have 4700 or so posts in this database. Shouldn’t take more than a few years to digest them all.)
