The Yuleward spiral
I first happened upon The Guy Formerly Known As L. Fitzgerald Sjöberg at The Brunching Shuttlecocks, whence came a wondrous little quantum-physics love song dedicated to singer and bird-despoiler Björk. By then, Sjöberg had reclaimed his first name, Lore. Regardless of what he was calling himself, though, I had to pay heed to somebody who could come up with something like this:
Oh, Björk, Björk,
Were you brought by the stork,
Or were you created from butter and cork?
I love you so much that I act like a dork,
Oh Björk, oh Björk, oh Björk.
I still giggle at it, six years after the fact.
Anyway, more recently Sjöberg has come up with some tunage that you might not want to play too loud in the workplace: a set of Trent Reznoroid holiday songs billed as Nine Inch Noëls. (Geez, it’s Umläüt City around here.) My thanks to Agent Bedhead for turning this up.
