Marked for death by Information Services (11)

They bring you a stack of items and look properly sheepish; then they sneak in the rest of the items while you’re out to lunch, so they don’t have to face you. And by “you,” I mean “me.”

Is this as bad as it sounds?

Given that Friday tends to be my busiest day anyway, having some jackhole dropping a load of stuff on me is irritating enough; two loads will qualify as unforgivable.

I think pretty much any work-dumpage on a Friday (at least, if the work could have been parcelled-out better during the week) is unfair. (The worst I can complain of is having several students show up as I am just getting ready to attain escape velocity, and have them tell me they need either a recommendation for med school by Monday, or they need advisement RIGHT NOW lest they miss the add-classes deadline.)

So are Emergency! Meetings! on a Friday that either turn out not to be an actual emergency, or that became an emergency solely because the individual scheduling them failed to act in a timely fashion on something.
