The possibly-pseudonymous Skullturf Q. Beavispants has compiled a list of people who are older than President Obama, from Carl Lewis to “Weird Al” Yankovic.
Of course, the one that perturbs me the most isn’t on Beavispants’ list at all: me.

I’m trying to decide, for the day I hit 40 (just over a month), whether doing a list of “stuff and people I’m STILL younger than” is too snarky. So far, I have The Super Bowl on that list but now I see I can add our President. (I hadn’t really thought of it before but of course it makes sense.)
I wanted to put Sesame Street on there, but alas, I am apparently a few months older than it.

There were eight people on that list that whose names I did not recognize. So even though I think I am getting old, maybe I am not even really here.

For the first time, I’m older than our President, I’m older than one of the US States, too.
On the linked list, I recognized all but three of them.

I’m also older than the President. This wouldn’t have happened if McCain had been elected.
