When you change lanes, the baby Jesus cries

I link to this purely for its amusement value, and there’s plenty of it, what with the bald assertion that there have been “460,000 Additional Motor Vehicle Fatalities Since US Supreme Court Banned School Prayer in 1963.” (There’s even a graph, just in case you had any doubt.)

Then again, that’s a side issue: what this fellow really wants is to get people who shouldn’t be driving off the roads entirely. On the face of it, this isn’t a bad idea, until you look at the people he thinks shouldn’t be driving:

  • Anyone who’s black;
  • Anyone who’s female.

Jalopnik linked to this drivel because, they said:

We … hope 100,000 sets of Jalopnik eyeballs blow the hell out of the bandwidth on his puny, $3.99 server.

And, well, the least I can do is to help.

    Somehow I don’t this is why Al Gore invented the Internet.

    If you scroll down (don’t bother, though) you see that he tries to claim male drivers who drink are safer than those who don’t. Now, I understand the concept of counter-intuitive ideas, but that’s just a little too much.

    I really wish he’d remove the words “Christian Party” from his site. For that matter, all other words should be removed.

    Well then, righthinking people won’t want to follow this link, and certainly will eschew this one. Because they are wrong, wrong, wrong. Very bad examples. And not at all funny. Shame.

    Useless fact: A serch for ‘female drivers’ brings up much more PC results than a search for ‘women drivers’.

    Useful fact: There actually is a difference between male and female drivers. Forget ‘time of month’ stuff. Women statistically are less assertive than men in their driving, and therefore have less severe crashes. But women do have MORE accidents – and a greater percentage of them involve parking, fender-bender type affairs. That’s not because they lack the driving gene, are busy applying makeup, are stupid or are in some other way less competent. Men tend to have better spatial perception, and that’s what driving is all about.

    I have known women who could drive circles around me, and tight circles at that, and women who apparently found their driver’s licenses in a wastebasket in the DMV lobby. Either way, I’m not inclined to call for governmental action.

    Stupid At Any Speed

    You just can’t make quotes like this up: “A man must have seven alcoholic drinks to drive as dangerously as a sober woman driver.” Of course, that was rather kind, compared to what he wrote about black drivers….
