Going clubbing

Not while you’re on duty, you’re not:

A Metro Transit driver has been relieved of duty after running out of his bus on Spring Garden Road to bludgeon a fake baby seal in front of stunned protestors.

Apparently bus drivers in Halifax like to mess with people’s heads:

This is the second bus driver in a week to go on paid leave pending investigation. Last Tuesday a driver allegedly tried to stop a Muslim couple from getting on his bus because the woman was wearing a headscarf.

I blame diesel exhaust.

Metro Transit is also instituting a two-day refresher course for all of its 500 drivers on things like customer relations and diversity.

    Hmm, indeed.
Who was the customer in this case? Not the fake seal – it was on a sidewalk. Not “stunned protestors” – ditto. paying customers – inside the bus – hasn’t suffered a broken hair. So what’s the deal? Ah, the green nazis tender feeling were hurt – but if you decide to go out and get on people’s nerves with your agitptop, be prepared someone’s decide to protest your “protest” in his own way.
