		<description>Well, I knew someone in college who had what she referred to as &quot;BC&quot; shoes - for &quot;Birth Control,&quot; because no man would look at her twice while she was wearing them.

And, IMHO, those were less uglifying shoes than these are. (Her BC shoes were a pair of something that looked like a cross between Doc Martens and the military-issue oxfords that some women in the ROTC wore.)</description>
