It’s hard out here for a scammer

Received this afternoon:

My name is Jonathan Domshos, the Marketing Director of Mobile Transport Inc., I’m here to inform you that you are the lucky winner of the 2009 mail lottery from “World Fitness Enterprise”. For this 2009 lottery the “World Fitness Enterprise” gives away 10 brand new 2004 Nissan Altima and you are one of the lucky winners. Please visit our website in order to claim you prise and receive all the information on how to pick up your car.

Just what I need: a car that’s been sitting in storage for five years. And if I’ve read the mail headers correctly, it’s been sitting in Russia.

Storage? I would assume it’s been working as an unregistered taxicab.

Well, that would certainly take care of that “new” business in a hurry.

I am semi-pleased, or at least somewhat smug, to note that in the most recent version of this spam, they’re claiming to have a 2009 model.

I just got the letter as well. It took me a while of looking around to see whether or not this was spam… I ended up at this page finally. So I suppose it is spam, bummer. lol.

and to restate for the above post the new version says it has a 2009 nissan altima for you and that you are the lucky winner of a drawing held by “world fitness enterprise” claiming to give away 10 of these.

    BOGUS…

I received this same email today. I found it very funny because it contained so many missed spelled words and errors. I am attaching the letter I received. It stated that I would have to answer a few questions to receive my “prise” I guess SURPRISE… it also stated please not (I guess that was suppose to be note) we may ask you to prove your (you are) over 18. Got (should be go) to our website and ask one of our support agent what you have to do in order to complete this step.

If anyone ought to give me a Nissan, it’s the local Infiniti dealer. :)
