Gave us exactly the answer we expected, too.

    Huh. That’s the only coherent reply I’ve ever gotten from that site. Nearly everything else comes back as (paraphrasing) “What the heck kind of question is that!?”

    Steve Fox of PC World is similarly unimpressed:

    [Wolfram Alpha] claims that it can answer any fact-based question. Big deal! My Magic 8-Ball has done it for years; it can even predict hazy conditions.

    Ask again later, say I.

    How funny… that is exactly what *I* asked it, too. Being currently forty-two years of age, I take great pride in the feeling that perhaps I’ve arrived.
