I don’t think she meant to imply that everyone whose Weejuns were wee had balconies you could do Shakespeare from; I used to date someone who wore a size four. (Then again, she was four foot nine.)

The remarkable part of this comment, of course, is “I used to date someone.”

Well, Chaz, I think we’ve both performed a valuable public service this week, bringing to light truths that are obviously being ignored or suppressed by the Mainstream Media.

And on that shade theory: I wear a 5.5 to 6 shoe and I have barely a fraction of Dolly’s “overhang”. So that one is debunked.

Well, in her autobiography, she stated that she wore a size-five shoe, which is on the small side, but “things don’t grow in the shade.”

So I don’t think it’s a depth issue, exactly.

One of the wondrous things about Dolly Parton, I’ve always felt, is that she has a splendid pair of legs which are almost always on display, yet which no one has ever seen: this is magical misdirection worthy of Penn and Teller.

Perhaps it’s because her legs are shaded so well?

Yep, I went there, and yes, I am that shallow….
