I had severe misgivings about that little vignette. It started out as a dream sequence (damn you, Ambien), and it wouldn’t go away once I was out of bed. There followed a period of bargaining, which culminated with “If I put this up on the Web, will you leave me the hell alone?”
I remember thinking, “Jeebus, do real writers have to deal with things like this?”
