I've fumbled with it before. I think my biggest problem is that I never remember quite how to backspace and/or delete, and with predictive turned off, I am horridly slow but decently accurate.

If you are still using the Nokia 6133, its predictive text entry actually learns new words pretty well. It is one of the better phones I've used for texting (that doesn't have a qwerty keypad). Just remember that if the phone puts the wrong word up after typing all of the keys, press the * key to toggle between word choices. If it can't find the word you are looking for, it will prompt you with "Spell" and save your new word in its dictionary.

I let them send back a test verification, and then turned off device updates. So far, no issues. I also toggled off the nudge-by-phone feature, since it will almost certainly never be used.

Twitter seemed to want the right to tweet my cell phone in exchange for accepting tweets from it. I declined to accept that deal.
